Will Christine Lagarde declare herself for IMF top job?

After a week of speculation, Christine Lagarde may launch her bid to become the International Monetary Fund's next boss in a matter of hours.

Reports suggest the French finance minister will confirm the news on Wednesday morning at a Berlin press conference arranged to preview Thursday's G8 summit in Deauville.

Joshua Reynolds from City Index told the BBC that Mrs Lagarde would be the ''clear front-runner'' for the job.
