Housing market still 'lacklustre'
There has been a modest rise in house prices according to the country's biggest mortgage lender, the Nationwide.
Overall prices have risen 0.3% this month but the average home still costs 1.2% less now than a year ago. The average house price is now £167,000.
Robert Gardner is the chief economist at Nationwide and he says the market remains "lacklustre".
