Unfair trading costs the UK billions says National Audit Office
There is a raft of laws that exist to help protect UK consumers.
But what happens when you have been caught out by a scam or perhaps were pressured in to buying something over the phone or by post which you did not really want?
A new report has found that unfair trading like this costs the economy more than £6.5bn.
The National Audit Office also said there is very little joined up thinking between several different bodies responsible for enforcing the law and catching criminals.
Alex Shearaschkin is the report author and he told Penny Haslam more work needs to be done to protect consumers.
