Lagarde: 'I don't feel specifically French or European'

The new head of the International Monetary Fund Christine Lagarde has been speaking to the media about her new role.

She stressed there was much to do but that the world economy was turning around.

Speaking to the BBC's Stephanie Flanders, the new IMF boss defended the fact that the job had again gone to a European candidate.
