Italy in spotlight as eurozone pressure continues
European shares have ended Thursday slightly up, but the growing size of Italy's debt has kept unwelcome pressure on the eurozone governments.
MPs in Italy have come back early from their summer break to hear finance minister Giulio Tremonti explain an increase in the speed of the government's austerity drive.
Gavin Hewitt reports from Naples.
