UK CPI inflation rate rises to 4.5% in August

The cost of living has risen once again putting yet more pressure on household budgets across Britain.

The rapidly rising price of clothes, shoes and energy bills pushed inflation to 4.5% last month - the highest its been for almost 3 years.

Many analysts are predicting that there could be worse to come with inflation hitting around 5% by the end of year.
