Chris Huhne pledges 'fair' energy prices for consumers
The Energy Secretary has vowed to work with the energy regulator Ofgem to ensure "genuinely fair and competitive markets" for consumers.
Chris Huhne said that energy companies were entitled to make a profit, to ensure future investment, but that there was a "balance to be struck" to ensure a good deal for customers.
Prime Minister David Cameron is to urge gas and electricity companies to do more to cut household bills when he meets representatives from the six biggest suppliers on Monday.
