Europe air taxes 'threat' to Asia
Higher air taxes in Europe could pose more of a long term risk to the Asian travel industry than natural disasters, according to the head of a body tasked with promoting travel in the region.
Martin Craigs, chief executive of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), told the BBC's Asia Business Report that business from Europe could drop as a result of higher taxes, although it could be replaced by more air travel between Asian cities.
