Lloyds deal 'would be fantastic for Co-operative Group'

Lloyds says its preferred option for the sale of 632 bank branches is to sell them to the Co-operative Group.

Peter Marks, chief executive of the Co-operative Group, said it was an opportunity for the bank to grow.

He added that if it went ahead, it would be a "fantastic deal" for Co-operative members.
