China's defence budget rises 11% to more than $100bn
China has announced that its official defence budget will top more than $100bn (£65bn) this year, which represents an 11.2% rise in spending.
However, some analysts estimate that Beijing's actual military spending could be as much as double the official budget.
China's military spending has risen each year for the past 20 years, and the country now has the world's second-biggest defence budget behind the US, says Greg Waldron from Flight Global.
