Prudential warns new rules may force it to move from UK
The Prudential, Britain's biggest life insurer, says it is seriously considering moving its headquarters to Asia.
It is blaming new European rules on the amount of capital it is required to hold.
Prudential was founded in London in the mid-nineteenth century.
Its pre-tax profits rose by a third in the past year and much of that growth came from its Asian business.
