UK inflation rate falls to 2.8%

A bumper grape harvest and cheaper petrol have helped drive the rate of inflation down to its lowest level for two and a half years.

The Consumer Prices Index fell from 3 to 2.8% last month.

The Retail Prices Index, which includes housing costs, was down from 3.5 to 3.1%.
