IT specialist: RBS glitch means robust planning needed
The boss of RBS has confirmed a software change was responsible for the widespread computer problems affecting millions of customers' bank accounts.
Stephen Hester said the bank's systems were working normally, but it would take a few days for the backlog to be cleared.
IT specialist David Silverstone told the BBC this sort of incident suggested that planning and testing needed to be more robust.
