Diamond to 'forgo' £20m bonus

Ex-Barclays boss Bob Diamond has given up bonuses worth up to £20m following his resignation amid the bank lending rate scandal, says Chairman Marcus Agius.

The Chairman of Barclays Bank, Marcus Agius, has told the Treasury select committee that the outgoing CEO Bob Diamond has voluntarily decided to forgo 'any deferred bonuses' to which he would otherwise have been entitled.

Mr Diamond could have claimed up to £20m in bonuses - despite his resignation over the inter bank lending rate scandal.
