Kashgar on China's Silk Road booms again
China's government is pouring billions of dollars into Kashgar, in the country's north-east region of Xinjiang.
The ancient city is on the old trading route known as the Silk Road, and Chinese authorities want to return it to its glory days as a transport hub.
But while Kashgar is now experiencing its biggest economic boom in living memory, the boom is also driving up costs.
