Sainsbury's sales continue to grow

Sainsbury's has posted better than expected sales growth, with like-for-like sales excluding fuel rising 1.9% in the three months to 29 September.

Chief executive Justin King told the BBC that the figures continued 31 quarters of growth although the summers' events such as the Olympics and Diamond Jubilee also boosted sales.
