'Strong demand for package holidays' - Thomson boss

Tui Travel has reported an 8% rise in annual profits, hailing an "outstanding performance" by its UK business.

Tui, which owns Thomson and First Choice, made a profit of £390m in the year to 30 September, up from £360m a year ago. Revenues fell 2% to £14.5bn.

Chief executive Peter Long told BBC News that a "very strong demand" for package holidays had contributed to the results.
