UK retail figures fall by 0.6%

UK retail sales fell 0.6% in January, hurt by high levels of snowfall, and confounding economists' expectations for a rise.

Carl Astorri of Ernst and Young told the BBC there was already weakness in Q4, and part of a struggling retail sector.

He said internet sales have increased, but the weakness is in the high street, in particular with volumes of food sold.
