Construction 'restricted by spend'
The government's biggest mistake in its management of the economy, some critics have said, is the way it has let the construction industry slump to its lowest level since the mid-1980s, further raising the prospect of Britain returning to recession.
Activity in the sector dropped by 6.3% in January, following a 16.3% fall in December, according to figures released earlier this month.
Nick Gibb, from the construction company Willmott Dixon, told Today presenter Evan Davis about the difficulties facing the construction industry from an office space that is currently being development in Nottingham.
