Baby milk rationed in UK after China export surge
British shops are rationing powdered baby milk after a surge in demand from China, where a number of health scandals have led to a slump in confidence in domestic brands.
So much milk is heading to China that the limit has been imposed to make sure everyone gets enough.
Danone, the manufacturer of Aptamil and Cow and Gate baby milk powder, says most supermarkets are introducing a restriction of two cans per customer.
