Margaret Hodge MP urges tough action on tax avoidance
A group of MPs has warned that the government is fighting a battle it cannot win against big accountancy firms who advise wealthy clients on cutting their tax bills.
The Public Accounts Committee says there should be stricter rules on what the firms can do.
Their industry body denies they undermine the tax system. But Margaret Hodge MP, chairwoman of the committee, says there is evidence of inside knowledge.
