US rate fears hurting Asia currencies

Jeffrey Halley, head of currency trading in Asia at Saxo Capital Markets, talks to the BBC about what's hurting Asian currencies.

India's currency, the rupee, continues to hit new record lows.

It has lost 16% of its value this year, and it's the worst-performing major currency in the world.

But many of its Asian counterparts, such as the Indonesia rupiah and the Thai baht, have also been facing a wave of selling.

The BBC's Sharanjit Leyl asked Jeffrey Halley, head of currency trading in Asia at Saxo Capital Markets, what is battering Asia's currencies.
