Microsoft 'needs to lead not follow'
The search is on for Microsoft's new chief executive after Steve Ballmer's decision to step down.
Many analysts would like to see his replacement come from outside the company.
Manoj Menon, managing director of consulting firm Frost & Sullivan, believes Microsoft lost its position as the market leader, and became a market follower, always having to respond to Apple and Google.
He tells the BBC that Microsoft has all the products and services needed to regain its dominant position - it just needs a chief executive who can connect them together.
