It's an extra room, but does it count as a bedroom?

Four council tenants have had a cut in their housing benefit reversed, after a tribunal in Fife ruled that an extra room in their home was not a bedroom.

Since April, housing benefit changes have meant that people with more bedrooms than the government says they need have seen their benefits cut.

However, a judge has now said that certain rooms should not be counted, as BBC Radio 4's Money Box presenter Paul Lewis explains.
