Entering into an untapped market can be a tempting prospect for some companies.

But how risky is starting up a business in an unfamiliar country?

Christopher Torrens, Director of Global Risk Analysis at Control Risk, BBC Radio 5 live's Wake Up to Money: "UK business and more adventurous other Western companies are looking at what we might call frontier markets."

"If we look at a number of Sub-Saharan African countries like Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Tanzania [there are] huge opportunities... but still concerns around doing business cleanly."
