Fuel prices set to rise over Christmas, AA warns

Today marks the start of the big Christmas getaway, with millions of motorists hitting the roads in the next few days.

But drivers filling the tank over the festive period could get a shock at the pumps - as petrol prices are set to rise again.

Paul Watters, Head of Roads Policy at the AA told BBC Radio 5 live's Wake Up to Money: "Drivers will be paying a little bit more over this festive season."

"We've seen the wholesale prices rise a little bit and we've seen the oil prices rise a bit the last couple of days as well."
