Lord Digby Jones: '50p rate of tax is lousy economics'
Lord Digby Jones has criticised Labour's pledge to bring back the 50p top rate of income tax.
Shadow Chancellor Ed Balls announced the proposal on Saturday, insisting that the move would not be "anti-business".
But Lord Jones, a trade minister in the last government and a regular critic of Ed Miliband, said it was "lousy economics".
He was speaking to Shaun Ley on Radio 4's The World This Weekend.
