Barclays customer data 'stolen'
The Information Commissioner and Barclays have launched investigations after it was reported that thousands of confidential files containing personal details of the bank's customers had been stolen.
Barclays says the customers who were affected had sought financial planning before 2012 and it was taking the matter extremely seriously.
The maximum fine for losing personal data is £500,000.
