Tesco boss: Supermarket 'will thrive once more'

Tesco "will thrive once more" after its current period of transformation is complete, the supermarket's chief executive Philip Clarke has said.

His comments come after Tesco reported that annual profits had fallen by 6% to £3.3bn.

Mr Clarke told the Today programme that Tesco is refreshing 650 stores across the UK over three years and plans to focus on a multi-channel offering that will include a greater focus on its online services.

First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on Wednesday 16 April.
