What's next for PayPal after eBay split?

The online payment service PayPal is set to split from its long-time partner eBay in the second half of next year.

EBay has owned PayPal for more than a decade and has traditionally spurned suggestions to spin it off.

PayPal services $1 out of every $6 spent online but will be able to better deal with major competitors such as Apple Pay as an independent company.

The BBC's Ashleigh Nghiem spoke to PayPal's senior director of global initiatives, Anuj Nayar, about what the split will mean for the company.
