Dyson: 'Keep engineers in Britain'

James Dyson has told the BBC it is important to keep engineers in the UK to produce hi-tech exports, as he announced a £1bn investment in research and development.

The move represents a significant increase in R&D spending for his company, which first made a name for itself selling bag-less vacuum cleaners.

Mr Dyson also announced an extra £45m investment in research at UK universities.
