Ex-bank chief Mervyn King queries safety of banking system
The former governor of the Bank of England has questioned whether the banking system would be able to survive another financial crisis.
Mervyn King told Radio 4's Today programme that while the banking system had been made safer, he was still not confident that it was robust enough.
Lord King, who was at the bank's helm during the financial crisis, added that he did not believe the next crash would come from the banking sector but from "somewhere else".
