Sir Philip Green should 'sign a whacking, huge cheque'

Former BHS owner Sir Philip's failure to resolve the retailer's pension deficit was a major factor in the firm's demise, a report into BHS' collapse by the Business, Innovation and Skills and Work and Pensions committees has found.

Sir Philip should sign a "whacking huge cheque" to fill the hole, Work and pensions committee chairman Frank Field tells BBC business reporter Joe Lynam.

"My advice to him all along was to pay up," he says.
