Britain back in a spin over cotton production

Britain's first cotton mill for more than 30 years has opened in Tameside, Greater Manchester.

English Fine Cottons will be the sole cotton spinner in Britain with the only plant in Europe producing cotton yarn, from fibre preparation to spinning and winding.

The company will produce 500 tonnes a year and plans to double production to 1,000 tonnes by the end of 2017.

BBC Radio 5 live's Wake Up to Money took a look inside.
