US east coast hit by massive storm

A winter storm is causing disruption along the east coast of the United States, forcing many airlines to cancel flights.

Major cities including New York and Boston have been warned to expect at least 30cm of snow as the blizzards move north.

States of emergency have been declared in Maryland, North Carolina and Virginia.
