MPs: Ofsted 'too big to function properly'

The government inspection service Ofsted has grown too big to function properly, according to a group of MPs.

Ofsted is responsible for the inspection of all state schools, childminders, children's services and some independent schools in England.

But the education select committee says it should be broken up to improve public confidence in its inspection regime.
