Universities to submit plans for helping poor students

Universities in England wanting to charge more than £6,000 in tuition fees from next year have to submit their plans for helping poorer students by midnight.

Almost three-quarters of those that have already announced their course fees say they will charge the maximum amount - £9,000.

The BBC's education correspondent Reeta Chakrabarti reports.
