Poor teachers in England face tough measures

New rules which will allow head teachers in England to sack bad teachers more quickly will come into force from September.

The measures will mean that it would take a term, rather than a year, to dismiss a teacher whose work is not up to standard.

However the National Union of Teachers says the plans are a "bully's charter''.
