Exams boards to tighten four GCSE subjects
Exam boards in England have been ordered to tighten up GCSEs in four key subjects because of concerns it is becoming easier to pass.
Ofqual says changes will be made to ensure students taking English literature, maths, history and geography have to study the entire curriculum and not just topics likely to appear in the exam.
