Some academies in England 'covertly' selecting pupils

An independent review of schools in England with academy status suggests some have unfair admissions policies.

The Academies Commission says some are trying to improve results by restricting their admissions to more privileged pupils.

However, it also found that the most successful have raised standards in deprived areas.
