College living expenses discrimination case in court

A postgraduate student who says he was turned down by an Oxford university on financial grounds will have his case heard in Manchester Crown Court on Friday.

Damien Shannon claims his place at St Hugh's College was withdrawn after he could not prove he had access to £12,900 to cover "excessive" living costs.

Luke Walton reports.
