Students: 'We'll never be able to pay our debt off'

The majority of students will still be paying off their loans in their 50s and may never repay it all, according to a report.

The study, commissioned by the Sutton Trust, suggested that three-quarters of graduates from England would have some of their loan written off.

Film and Media student Martha told BBC Radio 5 live Breakfast reporter Rowan Bridge: "It's scary, it's horrifying. It's such a large amount of money - I don't know what I'm going to do."

Criminology student Georgia agreed, saying "I don't think I'll ever be able to pay it off."
