Maths and science a priority, says David Cameron

Prime Minister David Cameron is launching a drive to give children better skills in maths, physics and technology, including the creation of a centre of excellence for digital skills.

There will be specialist training to improve the skills of more than 17,000 maths and science teachers.

However, Labour says the government is failing to meet its teacher recruitment targets.
