School 'had to build new classrooms' due to pupil surge

There is a shortfall of thousands of places for schools according to figures collected by local councils around England.

The Local Government Association warned that the point is approaching where local councils run out of money to extend schools.

Spencer Stokes spoke to Pat Munt, head teacher of Oughtibridge Primary School, near Sheffield, in South Yorkshire.
