Poorest-funded schools facing '£1.9m gap'
Schools in the worst-funded areas of England each receive the equivalent in funding of 40 teachers less than those in the best-funded ones, a teaching union has claimed.
Analysis by the Association of School and College Leaders suggests the poorest-funded schools will receive £1.9m less than the best-funded in the next year.
The Department for Education said it had increased budgets for the 69 least fairly-funded areas for 2015-16.
Branwen Jeffreys reports.
