Schools face looming teacher shortage, union claims

The next government will face a significant teaching shortage in England, the leader of one of the main teachers' unions has told the BBC.

Chris Keates, general secretary of the NASUWT, said it will be the first issue the next education secretary will need to tackle.

It is one of the issues on teachers' minds as they gather for their annual Easter conferences.
