Natalie Bennett: 'Homes should be safe places to live'

The Green Party has said it would introduce rent control for those in private rental accommodation.

Speaking to BBC Breakfast, party leader Natalie Bennett said homes should be seen as "safe places to live rather than financial assets".

Ms Bennett also said that although Labour had announced a similar policy to control rent, it was a more "watered down" version.
