Election 2015: Taxes, immigration and YouTube on day 30

With eight days to go until the General Election, the Conservatives promised to introduce a law guaranteeing no rise in income tax rates, VAT or national insurance before 2020 if they get into government.

Labour said the move was part of a "secret plan" to cut tax credits and other welfare payments.

Nigel Farage was in Strasbourg warning against EU policies to address the migrant boat crisis.

And Labour's Ed Miliband was interviewed by comedian and campaigner Russell Brand.

BBC News rounds up the highlights of day 30 of the election campaign.
