Election 2015: Lib Dems and Tories in child benefit row

The Chancellor George Osborne has denied that the Conservatives would slash child benefit if they win the general election.

It follows claims by the Liberal Democrats that they stopped the Tories going ahead with £8bn worth of welfare cuts when they were in coalition.
