Welsh Assembly: Ex-Tory Neil Hamilton elected for UKIP

UKIP has won seats on the Welsh Assembly for the first time, and among those elected was Neil Hamilton, the former Conservative MP for Tatton.

He said his win was "a surprising turn of events" - but he had a clear aim in mind, adding: "I came back into politics for one thing only - to free our country from the bonds of the European Union."
